About Me

My photo
Worcestershire & Cumbria, United Kingdom
I am a far-travelled outsider & real estate fashionista looking in at the human congregations that are The City of Birmingham and Cumbria. An original child returned to the Metropolis that has changed much, as have I. I promote local communities in the development projects that are likely to affect them most and encourage their voice, investment and greater influence. I hope I can some shed light, spread a little happiness and provoke some thought in all who deliberate, visit and spend time here. To those that are abusive, thank you for your contribution, for it to is also art in its own way.

Phillip Raskin gets Moody

This artist re-creates the wonder of the North West Highland Islands of Scotland beautifully. Clouds over Colonsay is a particular favourite. The seas and land peninsulas merge as to be indistinguishable, which is much a reflection of the geography as the weather that envelopes the landscape, the water, the spray, the bog, the elements that are land, those that are foreshores; are all intermingled and represent the ever changing dynamic that in truth they really are.

A map can, by contrast can be so static and representative of only a moment in time. Philip's paintings bring alive the reality of the live moment.
